We hold our breath at home and awaited the arrival of Grace Ellis with much anticipation. She was your cousin born in London last September and this is the first time she made her debut in Singapore to visit us and celebrate her first Chinese New Year. She was a small baby, being only four months old but so pink and adorable.
It was a wonder for me to watch you interact with her during her stay here. You never had a younger sister but you treated her as one right from the beginning. You played with her, entertained her with songs and tender touch.
I was surprised and proud at how mature you treated the younger siblings. It was a great pity that mummy could not have any more children. Without doubt, you would have passed the test of being a great elder sister with flying colours. I hope you won’t blame us in future for not giving you a sibling for you have a cousin now to make up for it.
