Jing Jing, mummy knows you’re in me for sure today.
My apprehension gave way to tears of joy when Dr J. Chen showed me the little black dot on the scanner screen. “That’s the embryo,” she said, “at 4 to 5 weeks.” Look, this is you, Jing Jing, at 4-5 weeks old in my womb.
I’m grateful to the gods for answering my prayers. It’s been a 4-yr marriage with Ken, a 2-yr up and down journey of trying and getting disappointed. Just when we least expected it, we conceived you, Jing Jing.
Not sure if it’s coincidence but it happened after we saw the fortune-teller and Chinese sin-seh, Dr Wu. I’m very thankful especially to Dr Wu for her patience and healing skills.
Grow well and hang on, Jing Jing. Mummy will visit Dr Chen again on Dec 3. We’ll meet again then.
